Hawawshi A True Egyptian Sandwich!

This fantastic meat sandwich is great for a snack or part of a main meal.
Flavoured with scrumptious mince meat filling and toasted to perfection.
Ingredients
Mince meat x 1/2kg
Small Onion x 1
Bell pepper x 1 (any colour)
Crushed Garlic x 4 cloves
Cumin x 1 tbsp
Coriander. x 1 tbsp
Parsley x 1/2 cup fresh (fried can also be use but only 2 tbsp) Chilli Flakes. x 1/2 tsp Naan Bread x 2 pack (2 pieces per packet)
Salt x 1 tsp
Black Pepper. x 1 tsp Butter. x 1 tbsp

Method
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees
Chop your onion, pepper, garlic, and parsley place it in a bowl, add in mince meat, spices and salt - pepper.

Step 2
Using your hands mix the ingredients really well then set aside.

Step 3
Take the nan bread and with a knife cut them in half and then make a pocket in each half.

Step 4
Spread butter inside each half of the nan bread.
Fill the half’s of nan bread with the mince meat mix adding at least a cm thickness in each pocket.

Step 5
Place the half’s of filled nan breads on to a tray and put in the oven. Before closing the oven brush water on the top of each bread this will prevent it from burning.
Leave to cook for 20 mins making sure every 5 mins it so to check for over cooking if the bread is turning darker brush the tops again with more water.

Step 6
Once cooked eat while hot! Or add rice and salad for a delicious main meal 😋
Left over mince meat mix can be frozen for up to 2 months so why not bulk make so you have a quick meal to go any time 😘
